Set in Ischia town on the island of Ischia, Hotel La Villarosa Terme is 300 metres from its free private beach. It offers a swimming pool and restaurant on the fourth floor offering panoramic sea views.

All rooms overlook the garden and some have a balcony. Inspired by classic 19th-century styles from Naples, Sicily and France, the rooms feature wrought-iron beds and wooden furniture. Each one is air conditioned and includes satellite TV and a minibar.

What was the highlight of Hotel La Villarosa Terme

Wonderful staff, great value for money at the end of the season, lovely pool

Location was a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal (port). Close to the beach and all the shops in the Port area. The hotel was set amongst really cool jungly plants, and the thermal pool was amazing. We went in it even when it was raining because it was still warm. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The staff at reception spoke good English. We chose half board and it was good value for money. We didn't eat at the hotel every night as the menu wasn't great for my vegetarian partner, although they would always have an option. Yummy antipasti buffet every night, then 3 courses, we were stuffed! Nice cheap bottle of local wine available (13 euro). Breakfast was decent. Hotel was originally a villa of a noble family from Naples, and much of the beautiful furniture still remains. It's like going back in time.

There are lots of mosquitos so for the first night we were up at 3am squashing them in the room. We learnt not to have the window open after that! Cleaning in the morning was quite loud as the base was right outside our room, but it didn't start too early. I wouldn't recommend the Americano coffee at breakfast, I'd get an espresso with a side of hot water instead.

Cosy, comfortable stay, excellent location for a calming holiday.

Beds were comfortable, we had two sets of pillows. Everything was clean and kept being cleaned during our stay. Room was spacious and aesthetically pleasing, as were communal spaces. Cocktails were good, food was good and staff were nice. Lovely green area around pool and hotel. Absolutely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay for a reasonable price.

1.Room was very moist, which is understandable for the surroundings were a literal jungle, but there were a lot of mosquitoes -so we couldn’t keep windows open and so we couldn’t air dry clothes because of the constant moist. I would just suggest mosquito nets on windows and a ceiling fan. 2.Not being immediately said at the check-in or even prior on booking website that it is mandatory to wear a pool cap in the hotel pool, so the waiter runs after you in the pool and gives one to you all rather chaotically, and points at the small board on which it is said. Later I found a random stapled paper on the panel board with excursions promotions (?!) on which it says that cap costs 2,5€. I found that rather irritating- the way it is managed, because I could’ve brought my own or just took the shower cap from the room. I understand why it is mandatory and of course I don’t have a problem with that. I have a problem with something being mandatory without mentioning it and then having to pay for that without knowing. The waiter just asks you the room number, he doesn’t tell you it is being charged or how much, and caps are not rubber so they look a bit like a single use. I was unfortunately sick during my stay and had to drink a lot of tea, which meant a lot of money at the bar for a basic cheap tea bags. I would’ve been really happy if every room had a kettle for boiling water.Just basic necessity.

Traditional delight, excellent valued

Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food and both the wine and drinks at the bar were great value. Loved the cocktails! Thermal pool surrounded by trees very relaxing. Old fashioned, traditional Italian hotel. Comfortable. Hot and cold buffet as the first course at dinner, before starters and main was delicious with huge choice of dishes. Would recommend half or full board option if available.

Nothing in particular. No kettle/ drink facilities in room but hadn't checked when booking and didn't spoil our stay.

very nice hotel, old fashioned but very comfy and welcoming. I loved the decoration, the garden, the restaurant on the higher floor. The pool with the thermal water is great. Having the private beach plus the thermal area for free is great

Little oasis in the heart of Ischia! Perfect place to unwind and relax.

Fantastic place to stay in Ischia. Although the decor is a bit old fashioned the rooms were a great size and clean. They have a lovely thermal pool which was fantastic for an afternoon relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Continently located as well, with restaurants and their own beach club not far away.

Unfortunately the WiFi doesn’t work well in the rooms (works better in the common areas near the main building) however they did tell us this upon our arrival so we were prepared for it.

I sincerely reccomend, but fix your own tranfer.

They had an amazing garden with tall trees and plants. It felt like being in a jungle and a fantastic view from the restaurant. Good breakfast choices and times. Spent my early mornings drinking cappuccino and reading my book in the sun. Warm thermal pool and nice bar in the middle of the green.

Nothing in particular. Just pay attention at the tranfer solution, not as onest as it should be. We were 9 people with an infant and we got message dhe had to pay, but at our arrival both the taxi and on the boat told us that she wouldn’t pay, so we got 8 tickets. On the way back they gave us only 7 boat ticket instead of 9. in conclusion we paid for 9 to the hotel but the hotel paid for 8/7.

What was the highlight of Hotel La Villarosa Terme

Very peaceful and serene!

Let me start by saying that the staff were so lovely and helpful! The room had great AC, a very spacious bathroom and a cute little balcony to sit on. We loved the pool, it was beautiful and warm, and mostly not busy. Access to a private beach was a nice addition, and we ended up spending most of our days there. The hotel location was perfect! It took us 15 mins to get to the beach or the port, and the walk down took us past lots of cute little shops or restaurants! We were also a 7 minute drive from the port!

The WiFi was non-existent in our room, which wasn’t bad during the day as we weren’t in, but would’ve been nice in the evenings when we wanted to plan our next day or unwind! We also requested a balcony room, however it wasn’t really private - it was next to an open area anyone could access and the restaurant looked down into the balcony. Lastly, the food was a major letdown! Breakfast had some good pastries but dinner was a bit disappointing.

Extremely relaxing and an ideal place to recharge the batteries

The hotel have beautiful gardens, which give the place a serene and calm feel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is good value for money and although it is dated decor wise, and could do with a bit of a spruce up, it has a lovely ambience. It has a sister hotel where you can get spa treatments and use of the beds on the beach, however the thermal mineral pool, which is almost at bath temperature, is blissful. Make sure you take a bathing cap as this is mandatory. It is ideally placed for exploring some of the attractions on the Island.. specifically the Castille D'Aragonese and the harbour. If you are on a b&b basis you can book a dinner for a reasonable rate at breakfast but you are never pressured into having dinner if don't feel like it.

The only complaint was that the pillows on the bed were extremely hard. We didn't get them changed because we were only there a short time but the rooms could do with having a choice.

Good

Cute little hotel in Ischia very close to the main street of Ischia Porto. The thermal pool was lovely and the restaurant had gorgeous views! Beautiful gardens all throughout the hotel and quaint rooms. Don't be put off by the dramatic reviews. It's not a luxury hotel but is certainly not horrible! Great value for a weeklong stay in Ischia.

As other reviewers have pointed out, the internet was horrible. Even in common areas, we could barely get a signal. The food was only "ok," it's a good deal to save money but gets repetitive and isn't the most delicious. We could barely fit in the tiny shower!

Very Good

The stay at the hotel was only 3 nights long, but it was a relaxed and pleasant affair. The staff was professional, polite, helpful, and overall just great. The food served at dinner was tasty, different options were available, and if needed adjustments made. Breakfast offered also a variety of options, be it savory or sweet.

The room could be kept a bit more up to date in regards to the interior (for example the mirror was going blind), but it kinda added to the overall charm of the place

Very relaxing seven days on a beautiful island. Would definately go back and to same hotel

Because of the age and type of building it had a bit of character to it. The room was a decent size with doors out to a patio. Breakfast was adequate although not a huge choice but enough for us. the dining area on the roof top was fabulous with views across the sea. The location of the hotel was very good with restaurants bars and shops all within a couple minutes walk. Beach and harbour a 10 minute stroll.

Whilst the bathroom was a decent size the actual shower was quite small and for a big person like me I struggled with the space. The pool area doesnt get the sun all the time because of the trees and shrubbery that surrounds it.

Beautiful hotel with nice stuff, but breakfast and beach could be better

I’m second time in this hotel and still love it! Very green outside, good location - 15 min to Porto by foot and 7 mins to the beach. A lot of shops and cafes nearby. The room vas good and clean.

Breakfast had all basics but no verity, after 6 nights you really get bored of it. And the beach included into the cost was very crowded and if you come not early in the morning, there were no sun beds left. So we went to private paid beach nearby instead which was more comfortable.

A distinctive and characterful hotel in a quiet but convenient location for Ischia Town.

The hotel is a charming, characterful building with great gardens and a good-sized, thermal pool. Location is just the right distance from the town and the sea - quiet but convenient.

There were some small, unnecessary shortcomings - no kettle/coffee maker in the room, no iron/ironing board available and the balcony was not well screened with the neighbouring room for privacy. Not really 4-star.

Relaxing, Quirky Decorated Hotel with Great Pool!

Amazing location, a traditional hotel in amazing gardens the property is filled with antiques and had a unique decor which we loved. The pool is amazing set in gardens, the water is warm and really helped my back! Staff were super friendly and happy to help, even though we spoke little Italian. I would love to visit again. The room was quiet at the back of the hotel near the pool which we liked. We mainly had the pool to ourselves and it has a very relaxed atmosphere, Drinks served by the pool and snack availble at lunchtime. Short walk to loads of restaurants and bars and shopping if you want that. We didn't travel around the island but probably will next time, glad we went here instead of Capri, it was pleasantly busy and not too overrun with tourists, June is a good time to go.

Only slight issue was I felt that the bed was a little hard and could have used more pillows. The bathroom needs some touching up but it was nothing major.
